Inuit artists and thinkers reflected on this statement during a three-part online symposium. The series of online events — recorded live from the Art Gallery of Ontario on April 1, 2011 — was produced in conjunction with the opening of Inuit Modern: The Esther and Samuel Sarick Collection of Inuit Art. It explored the questions: What are the current issues affecting Inuit art today and how has modernity complicated life in Canada’s far North? How has Inuit art changed the way that Canada and Inuit are viewed internationally?
